Importing character from Baldurs gate EE to Baldurs Gate 2

Hello, I just want to know something. I'm planning on playing a multiplayer game with 3 characters I created to do a tome run and then do the export trick were I give the tomes of constitution, dexterity, and wisdom, to one character and then import him to give extra tome copies to my characters. In Baldurs gate you get cursed by Marek. Once I'm buffing my characters with the tome i plan to export them to Baldurs gate two without finishing the Marek Curse quest. In Baldurs Gate 2, will i still be cursed?

I wouldn't imagine so. I doubt the variable that gives you the curse would be transferred over to BG2.

Yeah i was wondering that because the variable is within the game and not on the actual character file right?

It's technically attached to the save file, rather then the character file. Also you have a clean slate when importing into BG2. The only time variables are ticked from the norm (aside from whether you're male or female which is tagged immediately after creation/importing) is if you're carrying certain items when Irenicus steals your gear, which adds them into prelude dungeon (or in the case of Drizzt's items, makes him really pissed at you when you run into him in BG2).
