Seeking Sword & weapon bonuses

If I were to create a human PoH and dual to thief or fighter, would seeking sword gain bonuses from pips in bastard sword or long sword?

    No Seeking Sword would not gain bonuses. For the record it counts as a bastard sword (but regardless of your priests proficiency points the game considers you to have proficiency with it as a weapon).
