Any news on a Linux version?

Hello,
I remember that Trent Oster mentioned the possibility of a Linux version, still before BGEE (I) was released. Is this still in the works? Searching the forum did not provide any good insight (or I had very bad luck searching).
Not to be unappreciative of the project, but I was really looking for this as an excuse to get the EEs...
