Dorn won't rejoin party - console help?

BGEE + SCS.
Playing a Good party, so I didn't want him in my party long term. However, I did want to see his content, so I completed the first part of his quest, kicked him out, and used the NPC's wait at inns portion of SCS to have him wait at the Friendly Arm Inn. Later, I picked him up briefly to store some items, and kicked him back out again.
Now, when i try to ask him to join, he just says "You'll see the error of your ways soon enough. Begone." I know its not rep keeping him from joining, as i lowered it down to 16.
I don't need him now, but I'd like to be able to pick him up in Chapter 5 so i can see the second part of his quest. I'm thinking the best way to fix this would be ctrl-y him, take my stuff back, respawn him, and reset his quest progress. I'll redo the first part of his quest, and take him to Baldurs Gate for the second part.
So, will this work, and if so what are the CLUA commands I'll need to do it all.
