BG2:EE Black Pits 2 Baeloth?

Is Baeloth coming back?
He had such a good voice actor, it was epic.
And the fact that they added him in the main campaign for bgee was perfect.
He had party banters added too.
I hope he could make a return with his amazing voice acting.

I might be wrong but didn't they say no to this?

He was a nice little bonus in the first game but isn't really part of the story like the other 3 are (Dorn/Neera/Rasaad) and so won't make the leap to BG2EE ... kinda sucks but heyho :)

Well, I'm pretty sure what they said was Baeloth wouldn't be a joinable npc in BG2EE because he would be busy with other stuff. In that light, I'm pretty sure there's only one logical conclusion...

The BG2EE page lists "Black Pits 2" as a new feature. I expect Baeloth to be there.

Maybe Baeloth can be the first opponent in the Black Pits 2 scenario- the BG2 equivalent of the "diseased gibberlings"

Would make sense, if he's the same as in Black Pits, level-wise. The enemies listed for BP2 are more dangerous, and Baeloth would be not that challenging for the higher starting level in BG2. Or he's like the beholder and gives hints. "I've seen this all before, your next fight will be..."

Having invested in building the character, Overhaul won't be having him killed off as a feeble first opponent. There might be some game logic to doing that, but not commercial logic.

Either he'll have regained his former powers and again become the ringmaster of his own circus, or possibly, yes, he'll be your advisor. Either way, a reasonably meaty role, not just a throwaway target dummy.

I liked his voice acting too. I personally found Mark Meer the better of Mass Effect's Shepards, and he did a good job on Rasaad and Baeloth as well :)

anyway, I think he will be the advisor trying to get you through the competition to take over the new black pits from whomever the owner is and then attempt to betray you
