Super Loud Cricket Noises

I keep stumbling on things while I play the game with my friend @Nyrox so I apologize for the sometimes spontaneous and random questions :P

As I type this right now, Nyrox and I are paused after an ended dialog at night, and that dialog was the most frustrating experience of my life (since I had to listen to the crickets going on constantly at a volume roughly 500% louder than the rest of the game). I know I could simply lower the sound before dialog kicks in at night, but that is something very seriously difficult to remember to do and in some cases impossible to do.

Is it just my sound configuration? Does anyone else experience this as well?

Thanks in advance! :)

Sometimes the crickets land on top of the microphone of the game's boom, and...

Yeah, I don't know the answer to that one. Check your Sound Options, and see what you've got "Environmental" set to.

Clearly you've never lived in Connecticut. :)

Try turning down the ambient volume in the sound options. I end up turning it all the way down due to the unnecessarily loud bird chirping in some areas, and I know what you mean about the crickets. Less nature, please!

Well, not less nature, just more subtle nature at times :)

...obviously you've never been to some equatorial countries like Thailand. Those crickets over there sound like a buzzsaw (with the intensity of an industrial buzzsaw)
