How do I use the "Staff of Curing"?

Can someone please explain to me how I use the "Staff of Curing"? How do I cure someone with it? And is it really only usable one time? Thanks.

I've never used it myself, but going off of its weapon description I think it's a once-per-day ability that will recharge when you rest. You should have a "backpack" icon on your character's action bar, which will show you all available special abilities of items that that character has equipped. I'd save, use it, rest, then see if you can use it again to confirm that it's a by-day charge and not a one-time use, but I assume it's once-per-day.
