Problem with Start Up Screen

I have already tried reinstalling, but for some reason, the background for the start up menu is just white, with the buttons being the only thing seen. If I try to run the game, the background is gone, only showing white and the sprites. Has anyone experienced this problem?

    Do you use an Intel integrated GPU? If yes, please wait for the next patch (Which will include an alternative graphics engine) because Intel IGPs are not supported under Windows due to lack of OpenGL 2.0 hardware support on the Intel's driver side.

    Okay, thanks for the response! The weird part was, it worked before I had to wipe my computer and reinstall windows. I have an NVIDIA Quadro FX 1700 and Baldur's Gate worked fine. Ah well, next patch should help it.

    Have you installed the most recent nvidia quadro driver? Normally, this GPU should not have problems with OpenGL 2.0

    I recently did, but did not check afterwards. Will do that when I get home. Thanks for the reminder!
