Stuck in "Getting Download Info..."

hi I haven't been playing BG:EE for a month or so, and now when I tried to start it again I wanted to download the latest patches. Now I'm stuck in "Getting Download Info..." in the windows console without new patch and unable to play the game. Any idea how to get things going again?
