Is it wise to start a new game? Better to wait a bit? How will the patch affect current games?

I'm waiting because of stat bugs and other issues. *shrugs*

I'm waiting as well to see if BG1 NPC is done by than as I have never used it for a vanilla game and have heard good things about it.

Oh and it gives me time to decide on what class to use this time
