Jester's Song affecting the Jester

What happened: I made a multiplayer game so I could make a party of troubadours: a blade, a skald, and a jester. The blade was neutral good, the skald was chaotic neutral, and the jester was neutral evil. As I walked around Candlekeep I had everyone (but the blade) playing their songs. The jester kept being forced to make a save against his own song and eventually became confused.

What should happen: the Jester should not be affected by his own song.
