New gaming PC help with Vanilla BG 2 (merging games) :)

Greetings,

I was hesitant to ask this on forums, due to feeling possibly stupid and that I should already know this but I know all of you are a intelligent bunch who are either technical wizards or just a little more cluey than I am, haha.

I just got a new gaming PC, (about time too :D) and I'm super keen to fire up my vanilla BG 2 game from my old PC which is loaded up with delicious modded goodness, now;

Do I a) Just copy and paste the BG 2 directory and fire up it?
b) Fresh install of the game and then re-install my mods/apply saved games?
c) Something else I haven't thought of..

    The first option should work.

    If option a) doesn't work you can do a fresh install and then copy->paste the old directory on top of that. I think that should work.
