Sorry if this has been answered, but if you will have both EE games installed, will it be possible to play the entire series right through a-la BG-Trilogy? (meaning, without finishing 1 and having to load, start, and import players into 2)

    I believe not. It will work like the vanilla games.

    It's been suggested by one or more devs* that the plan, at least for now, is to keep both games separated. We've already come a long way in terms of consistency between them, though.

    I would bet that at some point, an in-game tool for easier transfer will be implemented.

    * I'm too lazy to look for sources right now, but trust me on this one.

    It has been hypothesised that with both games installed you may well be able to import a character from a save or character file from BG:EE to BG2:EE without any file shuffling though.
