No Audio Output Device Enabled Bug?

Hey guys + Dee. Thought you should know I stumbled upon this whilst unplugging my headphones and launching the game. I'm not sure if it just effects my system or if it is a bug in the build. Therefore it may be worth others trying to see if this replicates on different hardware configurations.
Essentially if I have no Audio Output Device Enabled the game crashes/hangs when pressing the Baldur's Gate or Black Pits button and can only be closed by Ctrl+Alt+Del or other similar means. A black screen appears and nothing happens. Essentially this means I cannot play either whilst having no Audio Output Device Enabled.
The tutorial and credits buttons and there corresponding features work as desired as I have tested both.
When enabling an Audio Output Device, Baldur's Gate and The Black Pits work as desired. I have replicated this five times to ensure that it was not just a fluke.
In Summary to test replication:
1) Disable all Audio Output Devices so your speaker symbol has an X over it etc
2) Load BGEE Beta with the BeamDog Client
3) Click on either the Baldur's Gate button or the Black Pits button and see if they load correctly
Repeat steps 2-3 for the other button/campaign option.
If people could post their findings here, I believe it may help to assess if this is indeed a build bug or if it is just effecting a small minority of users.
P.S Whilst this can easily be resolved by always having an Audio Output Device Enabled, it is a minor bug that may cause confusion, annoyance and unnecessary crashes to those who are unaware.
Let me know how you get on

The only thing that could be implemented to solve this issue would be a toggleable button for redetection of audio devices.
