Not enough free disk space error

I've got the "not enough free disk space error" if I tried to install the game on an USB flash drive 64GB (USB 3.0), since I don't want to load my laptop's ssd. Does someone from the community found a way to bypass the not enough free disk space?

I can install the standalone installer on the flash drive but when the installer is about to start the game download, it pause it and show the error.

    I second that, BGEE refuses to install on a network drive, even though it has enough free space.
