Guys, I know Steam version is not your area of responsibility, but could you...

... somehow speak with Atari and convince them to properly support Steam overlay? As of now, they show total lack of care for it.
Current issues :
1. Both BGEE and BG2EE dont have profile image icon. Only some ultra-cheap DLCs and trash games behave like that. We cant feature these games in our Favorite Game showcases on Steam, while this is in effect.

2. Minor isssue, but still an issue - when you check your games list while sorting them by playtime, BGEE is nowhere to be found. This is the one and only game in my library that behaves like that.
I tried to write to pr@atari, Atari facebook profile and twitter. No response.

They always answer to questions (by personal experience), so I suppose they could at least answer you in a way (maybe not a satisfying one, but still...). Also I think that it is the right channel to send that kind of request, IMO, not sure of course on what they could answer to you, @Xzar...

Sadly the guys at steam are more dense than harem animes male leads and aren't understanding the issue. (the steam support told me to reinstall steam because he thought the game didn't appear in my steam app library wtf)
http://i.imgur.com/lrwul6R.jpg <==== this is what should show instead of 'no image available' (this is how it shows with the 'Steam Enhanced' add-on)
So the images are there but the link to them is wrong.
We are actively working on improving the Steam situation, and are very aware that we have a lot of customers on there that would like to have a better experience. We also want them to have a better experience, and will be taking steps toward that.
I hope you guys will consider it for your next games at least because you seem easier to contact than Atari is ;_;
Take heart, the situation on Steam will improve - but it could be a few months.
It's much better than when it was first shipped on Steam. I just went and looked at the library and store pages and they've got pretty much everything in place now as far as icons and banners etc. Just that one icon in the profile page isn't working that I can see.
The in game overlay works. The only extra thing I'd like possibly is Steam Cloud support for the savegames, portraits, character files etc.
If I were to guess this sounds like an Atari thing to do. Just a guess. Either way, I hope to god the D&D license ownership goes to another company, or even the bum living under the bridge would be a better choice.
My disdain for this company truly started with their utter and complete mismanagement of Temple of Elemental Evil way, way back in the day. And they have only given me ample reasons to maintain and increase that disdain over the years. Talk about a company that operates so clearly without a soul of any kind, and you're probably talking about them.
The fact that they have had the rights to D&D for so long is one of the true travesties of the CRPG industry. Once my favorite gaming franchise, the idea of new D&D based computer games now makes me shutter in disgust.
I mean really, they can't take 5 minutes to get a proper logo up on Steam? They are such an absolute mess of a company.
I did enjoy Space Invaders and Asteroids on my Atari 2600 back when I was in elementary school. But that was so, so long ago.
*Trying* to go back on topic here... I sure hope that pr@atari.com responds to the OP's email and does the right thing.

If you know French you could also contact them directly here too I guess: (Atari is a French company)

I wonder, would it be possibly to get better responses if I actually phoned them since I live in France. Maybe they'd be easier to contact like that? Who knows.
May I think when that day come , developers can get more profit from steam version?
