help recovering a save

so i was pretty far into the game....(been playing all week) and i was at the iron throne HQ i decided to fight the optional encounter on the fifth floor, i kill them and save....BUT my razer naga is dying and the numpad keys on the side go into "turbo mode" and rapidly press random numbers as im saving.....it said "save successful" in the dialogue window....went to reload the save (failed to mem a spell) annnnnnd my saves are GONE =*( is there any way to recover them?

    ok so i recovered my previous save game(older playthrough) but a restore point was created AFTER said issue happend...(of course ) would a system restore to yesterday or some such bring back my save file?
