Custom Portraits?

Ever make one? When BGEE was first announced I jumped to it in photoshop with my tablet (hurray, I'm an art teacher!). I set it as my picture on here.

Just curious what yours look like :]

I also really enjoy photos. I think my first play through I had a goofy photo of myself (extra goofy, because I was about 10 or 11!)

I often use photos taken from films. Russell Crowe from Gladiator, for example, has been my Fighter's picture for as long as I can remember. I have one of Heath Ledger (though I don't know what movie it's from) that I use for a Paladin.

My guess would be "Knights Tale".
I am just hoping I can use custom portraits in the iPad version. As a writer and all around art dork, I spend more time making characters than playing the actual game.

I sometimes dabbled with GIMP to add an armor from one portrait to another, change color of hair, remove scars, etc... But doing a custom portrait would be too tough for me. I am a BAD BAD painter XD

Think I did a Korax impression once with a drawing tablet I got a few years ago. Lemme search for it.
Nope, lost it... too bad, it was kinda cool XD

I could never stand having a photo for a portrait! It just feels wrong. My forum picture is what I use for my BG portrait. Drawn by the amazing Jason Engle.

I am going to be making a series of portraits very soon to celebrate. I was a teenager when I first played it so I can at least be assured that my new attempts at portraits will be better than back then I was thinking of making a couple of fanarts-as-portraits too, such as Richard Armitage as Guy in (BBC) Robin Hood. He'd make a cool evil alignment portrait.

I've spent quite a lot of time studying anatomy in the last few years so proper attempts and no anime styles this time lol

First post.
Every time I replay Baldur’s Gate I end up remaking my characters portrait. So once I heard of the Enchanted Edition it was once again time to open Photoshop.

Well the picture was called "Knight of the Lance" by Engle on his website but i do know he sells his work for use in lots of place so it's possible it could have been bought and called that by someone.

I created my own portrait for my character. My style is cartoony, so I decided for BG:EE, I would do the portraits of the NPC's in my style. I have them sketched out. But, now that they added Neera, I'll have to make one for her as well,

I tried making my own but the attempts were never close to the original portraits unless I started my work from those, which I didn't want to. So I eventually stopped playing around and searched for something appropriate for the characters I had in mind. The portrait I used the most was this, made by Steve Argyle:

Haha, yes they are. * wags finger * But as to 'stealing'/using them, just make sure you do it like I did, just for your enjoyment. I'm sure no one wants their art floating around the internet without the copyright :P
