How would I go about making this Kit? (Eldritch Knight v2)

A while back, I created a kit based (incredibly loosely) on the Eldritch Knight prestige class that coupled arcane magic with martial prowess. It worked fairly well, but was greatly flawed due to suffering no magic-related drawbacks, which essentially led to it being a fully functioning mage (albeit one with constitution problems) who was capable of entering the fray physically but was too frail to really be effective.

With the externalisation of class hit dice, I was thinking about returning to this mod but to be honest I have no clue how I managed making a kit the first time and now I need to take advantage of the new features offered by 1.2 I'm even more lost. Here's a Kit description and ability list.

Eldritch Knight: Sorcerer Kit

A sorcerer who has taken advantage of the fact that their abilities come naturally to them in order to dedicate more time to martial training. The Eldritch Knight is a sight to be wary of on the battlefield, for they are more hardy than their arcane-specialised brethren and infinitely more versatile than a humble fighter. However, an Eldritch Knight must ever be aware of their own flaws, for they cannot hope to match a fighter in single combat without the aid of their magics, and their neglect of their magical talents means that they cannot cast as many spells as a Sorcerer of the same level.

Advantages:

Can become specialised in any weapon style.
Can become specialised in any fighting style.
Uses a d6 hit dice.
AC and bonus to hit both improve by one every 5 levels. (1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26,)
Damage rolls get a +1 every 5 levels (2, 7, 12, 17, 22, 27)


Disadvantages

Same spell progression as a Dragon Disciple.


Should something like this be possible? Thanks to anyone who can offer advice. :-)
