Multiplayer Issue Run Ins

What's up fellow BG players? I've been lurking around awaiting the patch so that I could play multiplayer with a group of friends. We've waited a long time for multiplayer and now the patch is finally out so that's great.

I don't know if there will be any updates but just in case I wanted to list a few things I've run into while playing MP today. Maybe some other people have had similar issues.

The biggest issue I've run into so far is that one of my friends cannot connect to a room without his game immediately crashing. This is the same whether he is hosting or joining any game. The strange thing is, when we run a MP game and use the BETA version as opposed to the updated main game, it works. I figure this must be some kind of reason for this.

Secondly, while in the course of playing we've had a few drops which is to be expected. The problem is that sometimes the dropped player can't see the room of the game in progress anymore and thus is unable to rejoin.

Lastly and very minorly, it appears the players participating in the game can't see the inventory page or character sheet of the party/host leader. I know it wasn't like this in regular BG, so I was wondering if it was intentional or not.

That's everything I've encountered thus far. Aside from my one friend whose game crashed upon connecting everything else seems fairly smooth. Has anyone else encountered any of these issues?

    I did some midnight testing, but I didn't encounter anything that you did, sure I had some crashing when I attempted to join some random servers which was strange but I got into a game and played some, otherwise everything went smooth.

    I too had a couple of crashes while connecting to ongoing games, and when I hosted a game people were occasionally randomly disconnected. This could be a hardware issue as this laptop is nearly old enough to vote, but still.

    In principle the multiplayer matchmaking seems to work properly but there are still a few wrinkles to be ironed out.

    With regards to viewing record sheets and inventory, did you check your permissions page?

    Alright I have more more specifics on my issue. Right now the problem is connecting. Essentially there are 3 of us. 2 of us can connect and will be sitting in the character arbitration screen. When the third person attempts to connect their game crashes and they will be stuck with the crashed game screen. Now when they force quit/X out of the crash screen, the non host player who is in the character arbitration screen will be kicked and sees a terminated game screen, while the host will still be in the room. After this no one can see the hosts room.

    No matter what combination of host we use it always seems to do this when a third person tries to join.

    After playing a bunch of multiplayer testing yesterday i have found that its only really stable enough to play with a host and 2 other clients at most. Anything more than that created a whole string of crashes and the host dropping constantly.

    We probably have to wait at least a month for the next patch, but it sure will be cool when full parties works.
