Creating new dual class characters in BG2

Unless my memory is faulty, you couldn't create a dual class character in BG2. Your options were either to import an already dual classed character from BG1, used an external editor or dual class after creation (which isn't always ideal level-wise). Is it likely this feature might find it's way into BG2:EE or are we out of luck?

edit: I searched to make sure this hadn't been asked already, didn't see anything so posted, then looked back at search results and realised that it had in fact been asked before. sorry.
