Couple questions about reputation

How high can you take your reputation with evil npcs? Eighteen?

If you recruit an evil npc with twenty reputation, will they leave eventually? If not, if you do a quest that grants positive reputation, but remain at twenty, will they leave then?

Evil NPCs will leave as soon as their "happy" hits -300, which will happen at a reputation of 19 (presuming you have no mods or edits to happy.2da). If you recruit them while you have a rep of 20 you won't have them for very long.

I believe they will stay in your party until your reputation goes higher. At least I think.

Dorn will not join your party at all if your Rep is 19 or 20. I don't know if this applies to non-EE NPCs though.

Evil NPCs will not stay in a 20 Rep party long at all. They either leave immediately when the Rep goes up to 19 or on the next area transition, I forget which.

Viconia left during the scene transition coming out of Cloakwood mines due to rep increase (I think it is or was bugged because I got +4 instead of +2). She actually left before the miner could thank me and took all my items. Very irritating.

@Time4Tiddy you probably got +2 from doing the mines, which caused Viconia to leave, which results in another +2 (regaining the 2 point reputation hit that you take when you recruit her into your party).

@TJ_Hooker Ah hah! It all happened at once, so it looked like I got +4 from finishing the mines. Makes sense now.

So to do the Viconia 'rep shuffling' and keep her around, I presume you need to drop her out just before doing an interaction/post-event dialog that you expect to raise Rep, then pick her up again to drop back down to 17 or 18. Is this correct?
