Bug (v1.2) - Perdue's Short Sword quest doesn't give gold reward

See attached screenshot below - Perdue doesn't actually give the 50 gp for returning his sword as the dialog indicates he should.

Not sure if it matters, but I brought him the sword w/o originally getting the quest (didn't give correct answer to his first riddle-question about the gnoll).

    Seems like the real bug here is that you're able to turn in the quest without having received it.

    Works for me either way you guys choose to deal with it. :)

    Although it kind of makes sense he can recognize his sword if I'm carrying it. After all, Mr.Colquette somehow managed to recognize his son's amulet stashed in my backpack, and that seems a harder feat.
