Proficiency points disappeared

in BG:EE Bugs (v1.2)
I had a level 3 Kensai with 3 points in Long Sword and 2 in Dual Weapons. When I fought Bassilus he cast Rigid Thinking on CHARNAME so I lost control of him. When I regained it, his proficiency points were gone (he had none at all).

I don't have good save to get back to, is there a way to fix this besides EE:Keeper?

    sounds like a really weird bug, you could fix it with EE:Keeper in a few minuts.

    Happened to me as well - the main char's proficiency list is empty. Not sure when this happened - I may have been playing this way for a while without noticing. But I do remember this character being targeted by Rigid Thinking as well (more than once, in fact), although it was long ago.

    Happened AGAIN today. :|

    This time it wasn't main char, but both Imoen AND Kivan. Again, I didn't notice until much later (their proficiences are already broken in my earliest save), but I'm fairly certain neither of them was victim of Rigid Thinking lately, so it must be something else.

    This is getting frustrating...

    Happened again today with Ajantis, but this time I was ready for it (being completely paranoid and checking every char's THAC0 every few minutes).

    Even so, unfortunately, there's not much I can tell to help pin this bug down. It was a completely ordinary battle with 2 completely ordinary dread wolves. One of them was attacking Ajantis. Ajantis wasn't even hit by any of the attacks. There is nothing in the combat log to indicate anything out of the ordinary happening to cause this. And yet - before this battle his proficiencies were fine and after it they were gone.

    At this point I think it's just happening at random, and it won't be possible to narrow down further without having access to source code and debugging tools.

    I've just had this problem too with my Swashbuckler.

    I have a level cap remover working and I was a perfectly happy and healthy level 8 and when I got to level 9 I was pushed back to my base THAC0 and all my proficiency points were completely gone. This is game ruining to be honest. I hate little things like this. Could it be a problem with the level cap remover and BGEE?

    Dude, that's exactly what happened to me. I casted luck on my character during my last fight and that's what it must have been. Awesome, thank you.
