How do you play your multiplayer game?

I'm interested in your multiplayer habits. The reason being that this game is not really set up for the typical online gaming that I am used to, which would be logging in at whenever, playing for whatever long, no questions asked or numbers exchanged.

This game's multiplayer kind of revolves around a stable party which would have to meet up regularly and all connect, which then would have to not crash the game. It's kind of like the old WoW raids from before. Do you manage to do this? I would like to, but I kind of feel that in my life, it would take up too much of my time - being in college and with a girlfriend and all. Also i'd have to rely so much on the other teammembers, because you have to keep the game open to wait for them to join, but if they dont'show up, you can't really do something else in the meanwhile (in WoW you can at least run around and grind some xp or something without emptying the game of monsters).

How do you play it?

I play multiplayer by myself with a custom party of 6 characters : D

I tried playing weekly with fellow forum members but people kept forgetting or stopped showing up regularly. The problem is if you don't play with the same people every week, it is not as fun. This is not just true of Baldur's Gate but any RPG where you collect loot and experience, people will feel like they are falling behind and not have as much fun.

I completely Agree but finding people who will do this regularly is hard.
