Windows 8.1 made my 1/8 of my screen off the edge

BeowulfBeowulf Member Posts: 236
I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Upon openig the game it now has the right side off the screen. I was able to navigate to graphics and it did not change anything when it adjusted things. I have a super expensive conpact TIki Flacon computer with the latest NVida GTX 760 stuff... any ideas what to do? 64 bit 16gb ram and like 124 of 233 free GB memory

I believe NVIDIA released new drivers for Windows 8.1--you might want to check their website if you haven't already.

I tried that before however it is still not working. I will mess with the graphics panel on the NVIDA panel settings more I guess...

oh I right clicked on icon and did a 'troubleshoot compatibility' and ran it as windows 8 it works but flickers - funny in windowed mode it woks fine though

on second thought it is very bothersome playing in windowed mode as you can not move the cusor to the far area of the map easily as it keeps thinking you want to click on the taskbar... I advise everyone not to install windows 8.1

Looks like it is not going to work with out flickering in fullscreen mode - I tried all the compatibility modes for windows- which does adjust the size of the screen but it then flickers like crazy- it could be I have the resolution up too much maybe...? I will have to check if changing my screen will solve the issue - (in a compplettly unexpected or warranted comment) guild wars 2 now works after some patching / updating /NIVIDA control panel messing - but BG will not stop flickering no matter what settings I turn off or on... I guess I will have to play on my lame 2 year old 4000 dollar dell xps then if there is no fix for it and if BG2/TOB enhanced comes out on time...... that still has windows 7 on it how low brow... I am not sure if you can duplicate the problem I have a huge 600 dollar flatscreen monitor and a TIKI northwest so maybe my high end grphic stuff is just not meant to work wit BG (in another completely and -no-need-responsibilty comment) I could never get D2 to work on this new computer too- so I have to check in every two months on my old computer so my all epic set wearing characters dont die (funny I deleted my d3 game after a month or two... so lame...)

Heya, I have the same problem (see my thread in this forum). Seems like native high resolution (2560 x 1440) under Windows 8.1 is not supported, too bad :( I hope there wil be a patch for this... ;)

thanks there SS guy - what I did was just made my screen resolution from 1920 /1080 to a smaller more poor person size it then works fine- which is sad as I am rich and have a huggeeee monitor and the screen res pumped up - I know it is NOT my new TIKI with hella memory and power.... yes they need to patch this for rich people like me.... cheers
