Khalid - Xzar Fight Starts Too Soon

I just had this fight sequence initiate and play out, before the party ever left the Friendly Arms Inn (very soon after Jahiera and Khalid joined). I know they hate each other, but maybe they should wait till they're off Bentley's nicely polished floor?

Only mod installed is the BPSeries, very doubtful this had any influence on this situation (it doesn't touch the stock player scripts like Khalid.bcs, only the player-chosen script).

I don't think this is a bug. If your CHARNAME has a low charisma score than you won't stay together long. There is also a bit of randomness to it, you should load a save and see if it happens again.

@meagloth: I double-checked the vanilla BG1 scripts, and you're right. This was a possibility...I'm used to the mods that accounted for this shortcoming.

I guess this can be moved to 'not a bug' forum, but IMO this is something that should be changed (and not requiring a mod to do so). They should have at least a chance to observe each other a bit, and logically come to this conclusion instead of "hate on first sight". A recommendation would be not to allow it until the Nashkell goal was reached, or at the least Beregost.

I think the usual is in between beregost and the nashkel mines, depending on your leaders charisma.

Yay! I've been hoping they would come to blows! As a paladin, they never did, so I'm more thuggishly low CHA like...

I saw nothing in the scripts to indicate that CHA influenced the timing of the fight. CHA only influences their joining chances. It's a strict RandomNum(2,1) option (i.e., like flipping a coin and getting heads).

I'm just suggesting that a timer be used as well, like is being used for the 'nashkell warnings'.
