Any way to control the scaling in 1.2?

Two questions,

1) is there a way to have Scaling turned off when you start the game, and in the character creation menus, but turn it off when actually in game. There is an ugly black border during character creation and i'd like to see it go away.

2) Is there a way to adjust the scaling? i play on a 1900*1200 24" LCD and with the scaling on everything seems too big, but with it off its a little too small. I'd like to Goldilocks it at bit.

1) Not possible, but as far as I know, the black border should change in future patches, it's only temporary solution.

2) Try zooming in with scroll button.

If you're talking about the UI elements in (2), you can change your desktop resolution before loading to get between scaled and unscaled in 1080p.
