Hitting ESC in some of the menus causes strange and/or incostintent behavior.

Start the game, press Baldur's Gate, press Single Player, press New Game. Now hit ESC, which should mean Cancel. You hear one sound. Now hit ESC again. You will be taken to "Create a new character" screen, which makes no sense, it should Cancel. Hitting ESC in that screen does nothing.

If you select Multiplayer instead of Single player, in the next screen hitting ESC once causes a sound, but nothing else. Hitting ESC again does nothing. It should cancel the selection and get back one screen.

ESC seems to work in some screens as a Back button, but not in others.
