Problem in Durlag's tower

in BG:EE Bugs (v1.2)
I'm stuck on the 4th level of Durlag's Tower!
I spoke with the statues giving them the right combination after having answered the golem's three questions but Durlag's Spirit doesn't unlock the secret door for me. I have never been to Ulgoth's Beard and never gotten the quest for it, but i don't know if it matters. Please help!
