Need help Ducal Palace!

I played very evil towards the end of the game almost completly cleared baldurs gate it self. However the quest says to go to the ducal palace with the invite i looted from slythe. However when I go there i believe earlier i killed the guard there how can I get inside?

    The gate is down there is an open door icon to go it but it tells me "you must gather your party before venturing forth" I don't understand plz help!!

    If you have cheat codes enabled you can use clua code:

    CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR0108")

    Try it and see if that works
