Durlag's Tower Dungeon lvl 1, Pride Warder (Sword)

I have just read the four books for the pride Warder and the sword starter to glow but I can't seem to talk to it. When I hold my cursor over the sword the talking icon appears but my character does not seem to be able to get close enough to talk to the sword when I click on it.
