Non-joinable NPCs portraits

I always loved portraits used for characters in BG and even more in ID. It was let-down when NWN 2 or DA or other RPGs used ugly models. I think it really adds immersion to the characters by providing some kind of story just by looking at the portrait. So I was thinking if it wouldn´t be good idea, when players complaining about not seeing details of characters, to use great skills of Nat Jones to create portraits for NPCs. It was in TOB to little extent, no need for every commoner to have portrait like in NWN 1, but quest important or at least main story importrant characters should have one.
With new UI they are working on, they could provide more space for portraits to be larger and more visible in conversations.
What do you think?

Gorion, Sarevok, Tamoko, Elminster, Mulahey, Tranzig, Tazok, Davaeron, Eltan, Scar, Marek, Rieltar, Belt, Liia come to my mind.
From Tales, I guess it would make sense to have portraits of Mendas, Dradeel, Shangalar (or was it Shandalar?) Durlag and why not Aec'Letec.
Am I asking too much? XD
Aran Linvail, Renal Bloodscalp, Saemon Havarian, Ribald, Phaerie, Solaufein, Gaelan Bayle, Sir Ryan Trawl, Prelate Wassalen and Firkaag.
Likewise having joinable NPCs portraits appear in the dialogue window like in BG2 will hopefully be added as well.
Also what was great about ID portraits, that in Character window you could see larger portraits of tho whole person, with background. I loved that.
