I assume you mean for BGEE:2?

There's been no mention of it at all. So you get to live in anticipation for the next few days!

I doubt we'll get a pre-load of it... Just gonna have to download it on release day.

Oh ye of so little faith. They let us pre-load BG:EE and they have even said they are expecting pre-load to start soon.

We're looking pretty good right now. If push came to shove we could probably release it today. Right now we're mainly just testing and fixing annoyances here and there, polishing a few scenes, fixing typos, that sort of thing. As I understand it, preloading will start soon.

I think a couple of things:

Pre-loading means people can rest assured that the game won't be delaying at the last minute.

It allows people to dig through some of the game files in search of mysterious goodies.

It also averts the launch day server meltdowns.

I believe last time it went up like ... three days before release day? So possibly we're looking at preloading Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition while playing BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC. :'DDDDDDDD

Why so excited to preload? You just want to fondle the install files on your hard drive? :P

+1 rep for epic implementation of the word "fondle."

    Somewhat, anyway. :P

I think you mean 'lessens'. Averts would imply that it won't happen, and I don't think any of us are that naive. XD

I remember how the servers were working durning the release day of BG:EE (downloading 100 mb for 5 hours with launcher crashing over and over again), so I kind of agree with @Eudaemonium

It is strange, thouth, that there is no mention of pre-loading. I hope that doesn't indicate that Overhaul is having some problems right now...

They'll probably announce on Monday or Tuesday with the new trailer/screens/art/etc. :) It'll be all 'Here's all this neat stuff! Btw, you can pre-load *now*'

    I hope.

Agreed, lessens is a better word. I was a little too eager to bust out "avert." :D

However, it would hopefully make it much smoother for those of us who pre-ordered. I'd very much like to avoid last year's release date experience.

I was picturing the forum members all intoning the phrase like cultists (flashback to the movie "Hot Fuzz") as we advance on the Beamdog team.
