Unkillable Paladin (Cavalier Kit)

Three days ago I was hunting some basilik and my paladin didn't resisted to the petrification spell. But instead of turning into stone, he felt down like in sleeping pose with only 1 Hp remains. At the end of the fight, he gets up and ready back to go. At first I was like Da fuq and tried to remake it. Seems each time he dies in my games he gets to 1 hp than get back up. But if I try to kill him with CHARNAME. He turns red than attack everything (Same as the berserking curse), I've tried to kill him once again, stun, hold, poison and anything else but nothing was possible to do .

edit: And since I was at temple trying to buy potions, well not even the 4 sirens and the priest could kill him. Even when removed from party, he dont die by monsters or myself.
