Custom Sounds (sorry im a noob it seem)

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
Hello guys.
Ive been trying to install a set of Paladin voices for my character. Its a set i used for the original BG series
for many years. It has worked nicely as i put all 23 files from a-w into the sounds folder. But now
with BG EE I just cant get it to work. Ive tried with Steam and Beamdog, but it works like this:

I set the files in the correct folder, or at least i think so. Then when i go to customization, i can test the sound and press play, works nicely, but when i get into the game itself, the Character is always silent: Never say anything.


Is this a fault in the game, or a bug or something i do wrong?

Please help me as ive been trying for quite some time now.
I have Windows 8, beamdog and steam BG EE.

    I have dealt with this issue too and it appears to be a bug within the system.

    To install custom soundsets, you need to rename your soundset and replace one of the current ones already in the game. What I did was take a custom soundset, renamed it "Male2" and totally replace the original Male2 sound set.

    Until they fix this issue, this appears to be the only way.
