Neera and Dorn "Optional DLC", according to the manual. What's that?

I was reading the BG2EE manual and noticed that Neera and Dorn, but not Hexxat and Rasaad, are marked "optional DLC". I read that to mean "optional downloadable content". What does this mean? Anyone? Do I need to do something extra in order to get all their content into my BG2EE?

    It probably refers to the iPad version, which will ship cheaper with Dorn and Neera as DLC, like it did last time with BGEE.

    Oh, I see. If it's that, then thank you very much. In this case, the content will not lead to discontent, for I shall be playing the game on my PC.

    If you bought BGII:EE on Mac or PC, everything is already included. The DLCs mentioned in the manual are for the iPad version, which only includes Rasaad by default (Hexxat should also have "optional DLC" next to her).

    Ha! As someone who works in the publishing industry and has translated over 50 books, I know all too well that accidental omissions like that will *always* be there, no matter how much you proofread.
