Probably a stupid question but how do you pre-download?

I've pre-ordered the game but can't find where you pre-download from. Am I missing something?

You don't even need to use the client.

Simply go here and click "download now" in the upper right corner.

Is there a predownload available for us poor steam bound peasants :-(

No. But there isn't for us Beamdog Mac customers either, so you are at least in company with our joint peasantry.

Just curious but how are you steam bound? Mac I get, but I am not sure I follow when a PC user couldn't order directly from Beamdog (and put more money in the hands of the people who actually developed the enhanced edition).

For some its a credit card issue, which is understandable, since Steam doesn't require one.

Other than that I don't see many valid excuses =P

That seems very categorical? But to each his own I guess.

What is the difference from downloading BG2EE from Beamdog or downloading it from Gog.com? I understand a philosophy that you want to encourage companies that do things you like (as in Gog keeping old games alive, etc.) but isn't that exactly what Beamdog is doing here?

I wouldn't order this on any platform other than straight from Beamdog because I want to encourage them and other developers to undertake projects like this and if everyone bought this through Steam then the project would be a failure because the revenues wouldn't support the work for Beamdog.
