Weird Scroll

So I rerolled a new character last night and after gorion's death scene went back to where he died and on one of the Orge's I found a scroll that said "Why does a chair have arms and legs like a man but cannnot walk or hold things" Anyone have any idea what's this scroll for?

    Afaik there's no verified explanation of the intent behind that scroll, but it's not new to the EE by any means and there's no use for it in the game besides selling. For all intents and purposes it seems to be a very rare random drop that can net you a little bit of extra gold (100 iirc).

    It's just a joke, as far as anyone can tell. It's supposedly been in the game since Vanilla, but I've only have it drop in BG:EE.

    I remember that many years ago I read a hidden and crypted message written in a pair of pantaloon.
    It said something like:
    Keep the weird scroll. Always keep the weird scroll!



    Maybe I'm a little confused....
