[Bug] Class for imported character not displaying correctly

As you can see in this screen shot, my imported character's class is not displaying correctly on the records screen.

I expected it to say "Archer", instead it says "Don't push it. As I said, I'm here to do a job, nothing more." I have tried importing from a final save and a character file. Both have the same problem.

On a related note, is there any way to import custom portraits? I could not find an option anywhere to do it.

To make custom portraits available for use (with the Windows version of the game) you'll need to go to My Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition and create a folder "Portraits", and then put the portraits in that folder. I expect that on other platforms the idea will be similar although naturally the details will differ.

As for your bug, it looks like the file you imported the character from could be the source of the problem. Are you using any mods with BGI, and/or did you edit your character file?

    Not direclty related but..
i tested quickly (just by curiosity^) how a save from bg1ee could work in bg2ee (so i copy/pasted one of my saves from bg1ee into new bg2ee saves directory) : the save was accepted and all the char from bg1ee too (ex; yeslick , coran, etc!), with just a few problems too : 1. start in a VERY waird environment (aka enplayable; must be the planar spheres :) ).... 2. but more importantly for here.. i did NOT notice that stange line/bug on my char , but on... Neera char.sheets/inventory! For her, exactly the same, just besides her 'wild mage' info, but the line is for her 'one..but overall, yes, they'! (a little more in the char.sheet!). Moreover, everytime i click on her, dialogues and dialogues lines appear in the main screen dialogue window..

On the other hand, doing a regular bg1ee character 'export' save (copy/paste the file from bg1ee 'characters' folder into bg2ee 'characters' folder (WIN: c:(...)my settings/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition (the new bg2ee folder with its own new Baldur.ini ) - bg2ee folders just below the one for Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition ) ... my charname was perfectly imported into bg2ee (at least here; did not see that bug - ouf) ). Instead of the line..i had my real bg1ee name as expected.

ps; i noticed a weird thing during the creation/import under bg2ee..if you don't click on the 'name' option during the creation process (just after the import)..there is no name assigned apparently: to get my name, i had to open the option - the original name reappeared immediately... maybe if you did not do that, that let an empty space and so.. the random line thereafter -?

    ps2;
i also had no automatical portrait imported (must manually reimport/copy the portrat files into bg2ee apparently -k) + also lost my old voice set apparently (i guess to solve that one, must copy/paste also the old audio file sets^..not ultra easy, they could certainyl automatize that in next patches too imo..*/ ).

I imported a Fighter - Mage - Cleric. Now every class on the Record page reads Fighter - Mage - Cleric.

    So It goes:
    Fighter - Mage - Cleric 6
    Fighter - Mage - Cleric 5
    Fighter - Mage - Cleric 6

    And it should be:
    Fighter 6
    Mage 5
    Cleric 6

I was not using any mods with BG:EE, and I don't think I edited my character file, so I have no idea what could have happened to it. I opened the save up in BG:EE just to check it, and it worked fine there.

Quick update: It has to do with the "fallen" flag in the save file (since I let my rep drop too much in bg:ee). When I edit my save file with EEKeeper and remove the "fallen" flag then my class displays correctly, but if I leave it there then it does not.

Yes, the BG1:EE strings are used for Fallen Archers in the Character Record. I have reported this in the bugtracker as issue 7022.
