A few observations (POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

Okay. So I did a bit of data-mining to satisfy my curiosity about a few things, and since I'm holding off on a playthrough at the moment, I figure credit should still be given where it's due. So:
1. @AndrewFoley: Assuming you were the one who wrote Dorn's romance storyline, there are literally no hats big enough for me to tip at you. Mind: blown at how much it's exactly what I was hoping for.
2. The Truth About Hexxat: well-played, Beamdog. Well-played indeed.
3. The new portraits are... interesting .A marked shift from Manley's style, but there's a lot more variety: I love the female monk.
4. And now for something specific:

Saemon and the Scroll. That's going to be one for the ages!

Whoever was responsible, I'm very happy to hear you liked what you saw (and also that you seem to appreciate {if not actually like} the Hexxat thing.)
You can imagine how hard it was for us beta-testers to keep our mouths shut about this! ^^
As for Hexxat, I'm actually trying to avoid the majority of her storyline - as these things go, I accidentally spoiled the main twist while checking to see if Rasaad had an evil epilogue. Still, what I did find out looks damn good.
He feels genuinely evil throughout, and his quests totally fix all reputation based issues for evil parties.
Journals seem to be bugged in a manner similar to BG1EE before the recent patch. I've been stuck scrolling down to places I can't get out of, and the +/- (to open/collapse journal entries) doesn't seem to work, at least in the Done Quests section.
Kudos for finally fixing the composite longbow wielding goblins in the beginning levels, that annoyed me for years and surprised me even after countless mods I never stumbled on anyone who thought it was wrong enough to fix!
I was disappointed at the lack of voice sets this time around, I seriously was expecting at least the new ones from BG1EE My imported characters started out voiceless which meant I couldn't hear their cries of agony when
I also was disappointed that the DLC portraits from BG1EE weren't available (even as DLC) in BG2EE.
I also noticed (am at work so can't take screen shots) several option screen bugs. Like, Characters 3, 4, 5 and Characters 3, 4, 5 (second one meant to be all characters, not a repeat of the last one), stuff like that. It was a little confusing for me to set my custom key configurations the way I wanted but I managed.
In addition, I am either blind or have a short memory but I am sure when in BG1EE when I highlighted my whole party, their custom colors (underneath their avatars) did not change to all white but remained the same, IE, Imoen pink, etc. Now whenever I select all, they all turn white. Meh =/
Despite these issues I've noticed so far though, I am a very happy person indeed. I can't wait to dive into more. Now if only you guys could come up with a patch that allowed me to clone myself so that chum could go to work and I could spend time playing your amazing product
Now where to find the time to play ...
Reason I'm asking, is that I never met Baeloth in BG:EE ... And didn't know about him til I finished the game Would love to actually meet this person this time
If you have to look, where do I have to look? :P Also... Is it far into the game? ... Ok, no more questions!
(ps: i have onyl see/read this, i'm waiting for italian translation to play so i don't actually played the encounter )
