Greetings and a query!

Hello all - Good to make your collective acquaintance.

I have both BG1 & now 2 EE and whilst not an I.T. geek, I am not stupid.
But I cannot figure out how to export my characters from 1 to 2?

Using Windows 7 on a reasonably good laptop.

All assistance appreciated.

..For I have a small query of mine own and don't feel like making a new thread just for this.


Wasn't it possible to open dialogue window with your NPC companions at will in BG II?
Ie, if I clicked Player Character, then clicked dialogue icon, then a companion, wouldn't it always open a dialogue window with good selection of things to say?
In BG2 EE, At least at the beginning of the game, I can say nothing to anyone. Is this feature disabled during the starter dungeon? Or is it perhaps a feature thay got added later with mods? Or is this case of my memory betraying me in some way?

IIRC this was a feature added in mods, it wasn't present in vanilla

Thanks for the info. it is interesting how seamlessly good mods blend in, eventually making one forget they weren't always there. Also sad how I don't even remember which mod I am longign for here. Maybe it was the Banter Pack.
