How difficult would it be to create a "Baldur's Gate Trilogy : Enhanced Edition" ?

Since
1 - I absolutely loathe the fact that both games are separed
2 - I always loved the flow of Baldur's Gate Trilogy
3 - Both games use the same engine now

How big of a project would it be to have a BGT:EE ? :D

Of course, the current BGT can't be used as a base so that project would probablty have to start from scratch.

I guess that job would require the following actions :
1 - Recover the content that needs to be merged with BG2:EE from BG:EE
2 - Add BG1 and The Black Pits as options in the menu (How hard is that ? Does it requires some .exe hacking ?)
3 - Change some scripts to account for global variables used by both games ? (Not sure if there are some ?)
4 - Check for cross references in the quest system (not sure if such a thing is possible ?) & chapters
5 - Alter the BG1 ending scripts and script the BG1 -> BG2 Cutscene
6 - Merge the dialog files (That one's gonna be a bitch I guess ?) and update the conversation references to use their new dialog ID

Anything else that would prove very difficult to be ? Yeah, I'm just fantasizing out loud, but I'd like to learn what would be the biggest trouble with such a project :D

Any modder that knows the in & outs of BG:EE/BG2:EE could shed some lights here with its knowledge ? :D

    I have to say I was surprised to see no connection whatsoever between the two enhanced games. We can't even import save files from BG1 without copying the said save file into BG2 save directory... I'm not sure we'll ever see an Enhanced version of BGT as the devs keeps adding stuff to both games and will continue for some time, and that would prove really hard (in my opinion) to maintain.

    But yeah, this would kick asses if we had an all in one enhanced BG =p
