How difficult would it be to create a "Baldur's Gate Trilogy : Enhanced Edition" ?

Since
1 - I absolutely loathe the fact that both games are separed
2 - I always loved the flow of Baldur's Gate Trilogy
3 - Both games use the same engine now
How big of a project would it be to have a BGT:EE ?
Of course, the current BGT can't be used as a base so that project would probablty have to start from scratch.
I guess that job would require the following actions :
1 - Recover the content that needs to be merged with BG2:EE from BG:EE
2 - Add BG1 and The Black Pits as options in the menu (How hard is that ? Does it requires some .exe hacking ?)
3 - Change some scripts to account for global variables used by both games ? (Not sure if there are some ?)
4 - Check for cross references in the quest system (not sure if such a thing is possible ?) & chapters
5 - Alter the BG1 ending scripts and script the BG1 -> BG2 Cutscene
6 - Merge the dialog files (That one's gonna be a bitch I guess ?) and update the conversation references to use their new dialog ID
Anything else that would prove very difficult to be ? Yeah, I'm just fantasizing out loud, but I'd like to learn what would be the biggest trouble with such a project
Any modder that knows the in & outs of BG:EE/BG2:EE could shed some lights here with its knowledge ?
