Super annoying Dorn bug... Get him to shut up!!!

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
At the moment I ran into a bug, where Dorn asks me when we're going to go to the Temple, I say let's go and he instantly teleports us there... Yay, time saved... But now he keeps talking, nonstop... as if I'm targetting him :)
And ofcourse I somehow mannaged to overwrite my savegame, so now ... I only have the bugged save game, anyone have any ideas as to how I can work around this? Cause at the moment I can't do anything :)

I've tried:
Removing him from party.
Saving / reloading.
Tried killing him and reviving again.
All the different conversation options, one leads to him just talking like I'm constantly targetting him... The other he just constantly opens conversation with me... So either one is just as bad. :)

(Yes I know I posted this in 2 forums, but a lot more seem to check this one :) )

    Have you found anything about this yet? ... Don't want to rush you, seeing it's Sunday and all :D But it's sad not being able to continue my adventure :(

    If you zip up your save and attach it to your post, I'll take a look at it.

    This should be it! It's a Rar file, hope that works? Don't use Winzip.

    Here you go.

    For anyone else reading this, the solution is 
    C:SetGlobal("ohd_wedding_impatient","locals",4)
    Make sure your cursor is over Dorn or his portrait when you enter the command.

    This is the reason why I prefer good old way of saving the game by going to the menu screen.
    It's best to avoid the quick save for the moment when game still has bugs.

    @Jalily I'm not having this problem but for those that are would it be possible to get a thread specifically for already created (or written up whatever the case) quick fixes like this?

    Seemed to make sense given this one for BGEE (pre 1.2).

    having a similar problem, he keeps going on about the sparing match,

    it's game breaking, he just spams the dialogue at me, I had to alt-f4 to exit, not even enough break to pause the game to do a proper exit. Having reloaded, it starts as soon as you level him up to 12

    I guess you can use EE Keeper to change some variable ?

    How do you get the console up so you can write that thingy?

    Open Baldur.ini and make sure this line is in it: 
    	'Program Options',	'Debug Mode',	'1',

    Hey I'm having a slightly similar problem in that when I've arrived at the underdark he keeps asking me 'what is this place you've brought me too'

    I don't know if the forum is still active, but I tried to change the ini file and i still can't bring up the type text interface :/

    There are a few things Windows does that can make things difficult. Ensure that you are able to save the Baldur.ini file with the changes, and that the line for Debug Mode is in the right place in the .ini file. Windows has also been known to jack Ctrl-Space for foreign language purposes.

    If you are able to open baldur.ini and cannot edit it, go "Up One Level" and right click the folder the ini file is in, go to Properties and uncheck Read Only, and/or allow Full Control on the Security Tab of Properties for your username.

    When you go into the game and come bck out does the ini file still have your changes? Like Powurz mentioned it could be a read only issue. Otherwise @Jalily might be able to help you.
