Imported BG:EE -> BG2:EE characters don't have portraits or the same voice set

So I played through BG:EE a few times, and I have three characters to import over to BG2. The problem is... they all come in with no portraits and their voices are all different.

How do I fix this? Is it possible? Or am I just Charname the Portraitless forever now?

    I noticed this. My characters voice set just isn't present at all.

    I picked the sorta higher pitched "Your life ends here!" voice set in BG1EE because I was playing as a elf male and the voice set seemed to match his race and personality best. Cheeky, bit saucy, but ultimately good aligned.

    Can't pick it at all in CC.

    About the portraits. I dunno. I used a custom portrait so all I did was copy past my custom portraits folder from BG1EE to BG2EE and voila.

    I used one of the new EE portraits. It seems so weird that they would not be in BG2:EE...

    Also, when NPCs initiate conversation, they additionally say their "clicked on noise". Like:

    (audio only) Imoen: Yep.

    (simultaneous pop-up box, also with audio) Imoen: Jaheera, I'm sorry about Khalid...

    I'm shining the @Dee symbol into the sky here, man.

    I copied my Portraits folder from bg1ee to bg2ee seemed to work for me.

    @Tropik, that might work if you use a custom portrait, but what if you use a stock standard BG:EE portrait and it's not in BG2:EE?

    You can export the old ones with EE:Keeper

    yes, same here.. I noticed that too..^

    1.For the portraits
    a. customs portraits
    as @fitscotgaymer said, a simple copy/paste will do for that one... so, k.
    b. special extra pack bg1ee inluded portraits (not present in the inluded special new bg2ee extra pack..)
    EEKeeper seems to be able to solve that one ; see http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/397787/#Comment_397787

    2. For the sounds
    I guess the only thing to do would be to copy/paste the _exact_ audio files of your set from bg1ee 00766/lang/(yourlanguage)/sounds to the exact same bg2ee folder 00783/lang/(yourlanguage)/sounds
    ... now, there many files... certainly a thing to carefully test..i will as soon as i can (replace sets or simply add them with new numbers (+1..) in the list for the old ones could appear in the bg2ee game menu list?.. to be tested `| )..

    Hm.. yes, seems unbelievable they did not think about that.. all the same (for their bg1ee customers)..and multi tested that to give a smooth & easy experience ^^

    OK! Got it... as i thought, the sounds can be (semi) fixed too as quickly imagined above;
    Just;
    - go in BG1ee and notice the number x of your voice set ; female/male 1-->6
    - go now in your install bg1ee 00766/lang/(yourlanguage)/sounds folder
    - copy/paste in a NEW folder the Female/male(x)(a->m).wav audio files
    - paste the files in your new folder

    Now the tricky part starts;
    BG2ee has LESS voice sets.. 4 for females, 5 for males
    .. BUT those ones have more options apparently (more banters, special things?);
    the audio files in bg2ee are going from a to m PLUS s to z ^^
    ..means 7 new audio files per/ sets in bg2ee..
    ..means the bg1ee will never have those last 7 options (important??).. only a-m

    ..BUT you can ADD the old a-m files set in your bg2ee sounds folder of course;
    the only thing is..to NOT erase the bg2ee files.. and simply rename (files copied in your temporary folder just before^) your old files female5*.wav.. or male6*.wav...
    From now, you will have your new/OLD voice set available in BG2ee, from the start (creation of new chars), or imports (voices set choices)..or on any saves (customize.. (...) voices )...

    But of course, you will miss the "s to z" options, eventually...
    not knowing exactly what they are, i don't know if important or not...
    But all the same nice to have your old familiar voice coming from BG1ee imo .. ^^

    Practical exemple;
    i got a male in bg1ee; set 5 /6...
    ..of course, that set5 was not included in the 5 bg2ee sets so..and bg2ee set5 is NOT the same (at all^)
    ..took, copy/pasted the bg1ee serie male5(a-->m).wav
    ..and renamed the set male6(a-->m).wav for bg2ee
    ..put the files in bg2ee sounds folder :
    Now, under BG2ee, there are 4 female voices sets, and 6 male sets
    ..i customized my char import with male6 set..
    ..and voilà. All basics actions seem to work (obviously)..
    but no idea what the s-z can be.. and if they are important.. hm. ^

    A choice to do then... or not. \

    Certainly the reason why they did not incorporate the 'old' voices if they knew they could not do/recreate the 7 last sounds, maybe... as for the portraits, i guess that's if one pack was 'sold' in bg1ee they did not want/could not incorporate it 'for free' in the bg2ee extra pack too.. hm.. so long ^

    One of the weird things about that, though, is that one of the new voices they added for BG:EE is now absent in BG2:EE. The portraits are easily fixed, I think, but the voice sets are always a little strange.
