HELP! Can't change portraits to custom!

I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the portraits in BG II EE. Doesn't seem to be the same as first one. I just want to replace the two characters I've already created. I also do not see a folder for the NPCs portraits anywhere. I've tried both "override" and "portraits" method

    Iwe just saved my game once. and put the folder with potraits in the main folder.
