Import from final save when BG:EE is not installed

I can't import my character from BG:EE. The situation is the following:

I have a dual-boot system, and I installed / played through BG:EE on my Win7 OS.
Now I installed BG2: EE on my Win8 system (same PC, but a different hard drive).
I've copied the BG:EE folder from the Win7 "My Documents" folder to my Win8 "My Documents" folder.
I start up BG2:EE and try to import a character from the final save. The problem is, it doesn't show any saved games in the list.

Where should I copy the BG:EE saves so that BG2:EE detects them?

    Okay, so I solved the import by copying the BG:EE save under the BG2:EE save folder.

    However, the character portrait is missing now. It was one if the special (DLC?) portraits for BG:EE.
