Launcher keeps crashing

I expected a slow download, for the first couple hours, but the launcher keeps crashing on me and I've yet to download anything. I've got a decent computer and good connection. I've tried getting launcher again and restarting computer many times. Any suggestions?

    Over eleven hours, checking often throughout the day, and due to a buggy launcher I still can't download the game I preordered. Again, any help is appreciated. Running launcher on a computer with Windows 7, if that helps, but I'm sure some on beta must have had Windows 7...

    Program is Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition Launcher. Picked it up here: http://www.beamdog.com/products/baldurs-gate-ii-enhanced-edition-for-windows

    Email I got directed me there and I don't see any other options. Heh I probably could've gotten through Steam faster.

    When does the launcher crash? Immediately on starting, or at some point during the download?

    Restarting your computer might also help.

    Normally, it crashes immediately. I've restarted my computer multiple times today. At one point, around 1pm est., it did start downloading and I got about 1gb. It crashed five to ten minutes in, though, and I haven't had any luck since. I'm normally running as administrator, but I've tried otherwise and XP compatibility. If it's not something on my end and just due to heavy traffic, I'll just try again in a week, but I figured slow downloads, not a faulty launcher.
