Did they implement a replacement for the old EAX?

It was such an important part of the experience for me that for many years I kept an old comp with a soundblaster live I think it was just so I could experience the game in all its magnificence. I tried playing it without EAX but listening to Irenicus in the opening scene as if inside a padded room just tarnished the sweet memories I have of the game.
