Carlig in the underdark wares

in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
Current Behavior: so when I first spoke to Carlig and looked at his wares, he had a huge supply of +1 gear and spells and what not ( something that he didn't have in the original) and then when I went to go back with my thief in front ( because I was thinking about stealing some arrows and the freedom scroll) it went back to his usual wares that im all to familiar with ( some lame jargon freedom scroll and a few other select spells) so then I switched it back to have my paladin up top and he only sold his normal stuff, not this "new" list that appeared the first time, now I don't know if this is a bug or intentional

Expected Behavior: keep the new wares; don't keep the new wares ( since this might be someone else's store inventory); keep the new wares if party leader has high CHA; or do whatever, or at least some explanation on what happened?

    When you're in drow disguise, you can tell Carlig to treat a certain group of adventurers (actually you, pre-disguise) well. After this, he shows you the good stuff.

    It's his hidden stash. You have to access it using a line of dialog.

    I always run to spellhold right away, so at least most of the main story can be a fun challenge, but of coarse once I get back, all those side quests are going to be a breeze, at least I wont need to reload so then I wont have my baddies deleted, and plus I wasn't in drow disguise, but a certain type of dialogue at the beginning mayhaps is what happened, once I become drow I will give it another go

    Have this bug as well. I get the "good stuff" the first time I talk to him right after entering the Underdark. Then the next time (right afterwards because I am stealing and ran out of room in my inventory) I get the boring stuff. Went back to my autosave before entering the Underdark and reproduced the same bug again.

    Oh, I see. He shouldn't be showing you the good stuff right away unless you look like drow. Filed as 7089.
